Instructions: Soil Sample

It is very important to sample the soil to determine the level of nutrients and even more importantly to determine the pH. Without the proper pH, boxwood are not able to absorb the nutrients, even if they are abundant in the ground. I have outlined the steps below in taking a sample and sending it to the VA Tech Extension service for analysis. The form that is required can be found at the link below. Be sure to include my name and address if you would like to confer with me about the results.

Go to: http://pubs.ext.vt.edu/452/452-125/452-125.pdf for the Form to send off to VA Tech. You will have to print the form and fill it out. For Second copy – put my name and address in as below in order that I can consult with you concerning the results.
